Janet and Kevin’s Very Big Walk

Day 63 revisited, Kinlochleven to Fort William.

We’re back!

It’s been great to return to Scotland and be back on the trail.

We headed out from Kinlochleven up the steep path which took us up on to today’s route. It was amazing to look back towards Kinlochleven and see how much height we had gained so quickly. We then followed the trail across open land with stunning views. The weather was a bit different to when we left home yesterday with a cool breeze, clouds and even some rain! We continued on the old military road, which was a really good path past an interesting ruined croft called Tigh-na-sleubhaich .

Finally we made our descent into Fort William with fantastic views of Loch Linnie.

It’s been a great day’s walking with wonderful views and we’ve now finished The West Highland Way together. We’re also very lucky to be staying with Gwyneth and Andy who are spoiling us with lovely food, company and lifts to and from start and finish points. Thank you so much.
