In fourteen days our LEJOG adventure begins. Most of our training has taken place in the ‘mountainless’ New Forest. As you can see from the photos we have had lots of support from the locals!

The foal in the feature photo was the first we had seen this year and was a couple of hours old. New Forest ponies roam freely, as do deer, donkeys, sheep and cows. Pigs are let out for a couple of months in the autumn to help eat acorns, which are poisonous to ponies, from the numerous oak trees – the magic of nature!
Best wishes to my lovely sister and brother inlaw taking on the adventure of a lifetime looking forward to following your daily progress and meeting up to walk with you for a day (be kind)
Love and best wishes, Anne, John and James xx
