8 o’clock start at Land’s End saw us and three other people at the iconic signpost. It turned out they were also doing the LEJOG, but cycling it in an impressive 14 days.
We set off on coastal paths with amazing views before heading inland along quiet country lanes and then tiny paths in woodlands and fields.
One of the memories which will stay with us for sometime will be the high hedgerows packed with primroses, bluebells and wild garlic.
The day finished with a very welcome flat coastal walk through Newlyn to Penzance.

Good luck with the walk. Lovely photos already x
Good luck both of you, enjoy every special moment of your adventure.
Well done looks like a fantastic first day, great photos. x
Glad you had a good first day, the first of many. A lot easier on a bike. Here’s hoping you are blessed with good weather like I was last year with only 90 mins of rain in 15 days cycling. Will keep looking and hope to do a section with you when you are a bit further up.
