An early start today with a walk along a busy road out of St Austell, we knew it was going to be hot so wanted to make the most of the cool early morning. Stopped to check our route in a park. A number of people have asked if we are carrying maps for the whole route. We have chosen to use OS Premium and plotted all the days individually to access from our phones. So far it’s worked really well.
Once we left the noisy A390 we were rewarded with a lovely flat river walk which was followed by more, now familiar, country lanes. These were definitely the quietest we have walked on so far but probably also the hilliest!
The day finished with some amazing views over open farmland and then a final steep climb into the quiet village of Lostwithiel.
