It’s been a tough day today, really hot and lots and lots of steep ups and downs. Amazing views though, so well worth the effort!
Community shops in small villages have been a real bonus for us. Today we passed through the remote village of Cheriton Fitzpaine. Everyone was so friendly and especially Barbara at their community shop who replenished our water bottles and was so enthusiastic about our adventure. Thank you Barbara. The old school house in the village is the longest thatched building in England and was an actual school until 2010.
The final part of the day was along the river from Bickleigh Mill into Tiverton. Slightly flatter and slightly cooler!

Loving following you day by day. Don’t tell Andy but we might have to follow your lead one day!
Wonderful reading about your walk and looking at the stunning pictures.
