Janet and Kevin’s Very Big Walk

Day 23, Slimbridge to Gloucester.

Our stay with Basia and Paul was over all too quickly. However, we had the pleasure of walking with Paul for the entire day with Basia providing the essential support and moving our kit to Gloucester. Carrying much reduced kit definitely makes a big difference.

Our route continued along the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal into the heart of the city. A variety of boats sailed along the canal with the bridges having to be raised regularly to let them pass on their way. There’s always someone engaging to talk to or something interesting to watch on a canal.

Early rain soon gave way to warm weather held in check by a cooling breeze. It’s been a lovely walk.

We have a day off tomorrow and a chance to catch up on admin and rest.

  1. Just as addictive as the SPINE!!!
You both are amazing. I also have a question for the next episode of Q&A with J&K!
Who takes control of daily navigating and has there been any exchanges of words if the navigating goes slightly wrong?

  2. Well done both, you are amazing! Look forward to seeing you soon. You know you are welcome to stay at ours when you get to Kidderminster if you are able to cancel the Travelodge! If not, we will find some Linda McCartney sausages for the morning 🙂
