Another very early start for an 18 mile walk today.
What a difference a day makes! After the sunshine and grapes of yesterday it was so cold this morning and we were walking on roads with views of a giant new motorway!
Luckily the road walking wasn’t for the whole day and we headed off for our steepest climb of the whole route. We were glad this was on good paths and there were plenty of rest stops in very small hamlets. At one a cafe had been made in a garage with the most amazing views.
As we continued up we left the Castilla and Leon Region and moved into the Galicia area.
We’re now in O’ Cebreiro at a height of 1,330 metres and a population of 50! It’s been fantastic making the ascent to here and the views have just been amazing.
